OUR JOURNEY TO THE LAYERED SHOP

In the winter of 2017 I was driving in Nobelton and noticed this old house that was left unloved and saw the potential location for The Layered Shop. It's doors were closed and the exterior needed some repairs, but in it we saw a glimmer of what it could become and knew this was our new home and the perfect place to start our shop. The Layered Shop is a mix of everything my creative mind has running through it at all times- A gluten free bake shop and ice cream parlor, home accessories, party supplies & gift items and coming soon will be a workshop space to hold classes and seminars.

Being diagnosed with food allergies and celiac disease in my twenties it was hard to find places that offered great tasting dessert and ice cream that were completely free of gluten. Now, Ill be honest here and say I love eggs and butter and believe that's what makes our gluten free products stand out- you don't even need to be gluten free to enjoy them because you wont be able to tell the difference- scouts honour! We do use large amounts of eggs and butter because our desserts are definitely a treat but because we know people suffering from lactose or dairy allergies there are a select few items that are also dairy free and vegan.

Ive also been gifting and throwing parties for as long as I can remember and the joy on peoples faces when they open a package that is thoughtfully curated is the best feeling! Because of this we strive to seek out one-of-a-kind items and are always on the hunt for new and exciting products and upcoming artisans to add to our gift area. We love putting together gift boxes for any occasion and if you're on the hunt for something specific let us know and we can try our best to help you out!
